Nagarkot Journey: RWS Family’s Alpine Escape 2024
The RWS family was tired and stressed from their busy routines and decided it was time for a break. It was a long time ago we went to Bhundol Hike. So, we decided to make some plans for refreshment. But we were not able to choose the perfect place. After some planning, we all agreed on Nagarkot. Nagarkot is a beautiful destination and is located to the northeast of Kathmandu and is only 32 km away from Kathmandu.
Day 1: The Journey Starts Now!
We decided to gather together in Thimi to start our journey. We all met each other around 12:30 PM. Few employees bought their vehicles and the boy gang was excited about riding their bikes whereas, girls were provided with vehicles courtesy of RWS.
We bought chips, water, and cold drinks on the way towards Nagarkot and started our journey. On the way, we took a short break near Ranikot for fresh cucumbers which were grown organically in that village. The lady selling cucumbers served the cucumbers with salt and spices. The spicy taste made us aware to make the journey spicy and memorable. So, without any delay, we headed towards our destination, Nagarkot.

Raindrops and Resilience: Day 1 Exploration
We were thrilled to see the beauty of Nagarkot, both tranquility and adventure, green forests, and flowers were blooming, and looked as if they were smiling at us. We finally reached the resort (Nagarkot Resort Pvt. Ltd) where we were staying. The resort was also amazing. We reached the resort around 2 PM. As we stepped into the resort, there was heavy rainfall. The weather was cold now.
Due to the heavy rainfall, our outdoor plans were all canceled. We are like a family and we enjoy spending time with each other. So, we decided to have some fun activities inside the resort. We went to the room and changed our dress and met up at the dining hall. We were enjoying the rain.
Later on, the waiter served tea and coffee according to our preferences. We gathered together and enjoyed the cold weather with hot drinks. We also played card games together and it was very fun.
Finally, after continuous rainfall of 3 hours, the rain stopped at 5 PM, and the weather was pretty good later. After that, we started exploring outdoor activities. Some dived into the cold swimming pool and started swimming, some were busy exploring nature and surroundings, and a few were busy clicking pictures.
At 6:30 PM, everybody gathered together again in the dining hall for snacks. The snacks were delicious. Later on, as the day was about to end, the RWS team enjoyed card games and other different forms of entertainment. We had an amazing buffet dinner.
The actual fun started after our dinner. We started dancing and singing together around 9 PM. Our team was enjoying both hard and soft drinks with BBQ. The one who didn’t prefer any drinks got some ice cream and enjoyed that. The dance continued till 1 AM. The dance moves from our employees were funny and beautiful too. One of them danced to Tharu song very beautifully with an amazing experience which made us enjoy a lot and stay till late in the night. We were having a lot of fun.
The fun, music, and happiness together were cherishable. We were enjoying a lot and didn’t want to stop because of the vibes. Although we didn’t want to stop enjoying ourselves it was late, so, we decided to go to sleep. We greeted each other a good night and went for sleep.

Roam the Nature, Collect Memories to Cherish: Day 2
After an unforgettable day 1, we welcomed another beautiful morning with new excitement and new plans for the second day and gathered together for breakfast. Later on, after the fulfilling breakfast, we again scattered for swimming, photos, and picking up some fresh berries from the garden of the resort. After that, we gathered together for group photos. We clicked many photos together.
Later, we started packing and returned to our vehicle as our trip was ending that day. The fun moments were not completed. We planned to go to visit the famous “Jhyal Ghar”. The road towards the Jhyal Ghar was difficult but adventurous. It was off-road and the way was a bit difficult, we even came out of the vehicle and walked for a couple of minutes due to the road condition. Finally, we reached there, the “Jhyal Ghar” which was all made from windows of glass. It was a basic school in that area. The name of that school was ShilaDevi Basic School. It looked like NGOs helped to build the school. We also took group photos there. Nearby the Jhyal Ghar we also saw several other buildings. The houses were made purely from rock, raw brick, and ready-made bricks.
Concluding our journey, we regrouped at The Burger House at Sankhu for lunch. After lunch, we ended our journey and returned to our home with all the cherished memories.

Cheers to Cherished Moments
RWS’s journey to Nagarkot was very awesome and ended up with lots of memories for all of the members. We enjoyed a lot with lots of waves of laughter and fun activities.
